COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Nevada senior Liam Gobin has been named the Mountain West Men’s Golfer of the Week and Wyoming’s Brody Leid is the Freshman of the Week.
The MW honor is the first of Gobin’s career and third for Leid.

LIAM GOBIN, NEVADA
Senior, Liverpool, England/McLennan CC
- Shot an even-par 216 to tie for 22nd at the General James Hackler Championship at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
- Closed with a 3-under 69, his best round of the season, to help the Wolf Pack gain two spots and tie for 10th in the team standings in a field that included six top-50 teams, including No. 1 Auburn.
- Carded the sixth-most pars in the field.
- Helped Nevada card the most pars of the event in the 16-team field.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
BRODY LEID, WYOMING
Phoenix, Arizona/Corona Del Sol
- Tied for 14th at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate at Tucson Country Club, shooting a 2-over-par 218.
- Carded 11 birdies and an eagle over 54 holes.
- Turned in rounds of 73, 72 and 73 for his career-high finish and third consecutive top-25.
- Paced the Cowboys at the tournament, helping Wyoming to a seventh-place finish in the 13-team field, which included four teams in the top 30 nationally.
