LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV men’s golf senior Caden Fioroni has been named to the 2024-25 Haskins Award presented by Stifel First Spring Watch List, the Haskins Foundation announced Monday.
The award is presented to the most outstanding collegiate golfer in the United States. Touted as the “Heisman of Golf,” the Haskins Trophy – which dates back to 1971 – is the oldest award in college golf and is named in honor of Fred Haskins, who dedicated his career to teaching junior golfers the art of competitive golf. It is the only award voted on by players, coaches, golf SIDs and select golf media.
A San Diego native, Fioroni has guided the Rebels to two team victories this season (Trinity Forest Invitational; John A. Burns Intercollegiate) with a team-best 70.80 scoring average. Additionally, he has posted three top-10 individual finishes on the season, including his Southern Highlands Collegiate win (-9) and a tie for fourth at SMU with a season-low 11-under 205.
Fioroni has previously been on the award’s 2023-24 Preseason Watch List and 2022 Final Fall Watch List. He joins two other Rebel golfers to be placed on any of these lists, including Shintaro Ban’s appearance in 2018 and 2005 Haskins Award winner Ryan Moore.

UP NEXT: UNLV will return to action on March 17 at the two-day All-American Intercollegiate being hosted by Houston at the Golf Club of Houston.
