COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San José State junior Jed Dy has been named the Mountain West Men’s Golfer of the Month for November, while Wyoming’s Brody Leid was named the MW Freshman of the Month.

The monthly honor is the first for both athletes.

GOLFER OF THE MONTH
JED DY, SAN JOSÉ STATE
Junior, Makati, Philippines/George Washington

  • Was the top Mountain West finisher at the Kā’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational in Lahaina, Hawai‘i, tying for 24th out of 123 players with a score of 7-under-par 206.
  • Shot a 5-under 66 in the first round, a personal collegiate best.
  • Closed with consecutive rounds of 1-under 70.
  • Helped the Spartans to an eighth-place finish in the 21-team field.

FRESHMAN OF THE MONTH
BRODY LEID, WYOMING
Freshman, Phoenix, Ariz./Corona Del Sol HS

  • Was the top Mountain West freshman finisher at the Kā’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational in Lahaina, Hawai‘i, tying for 29th out of 123 players with a team-best score of 6-under-par 207.
  • Posted the best finish of his young career.
  • Opened with a 1-over 72 before logging a career-best 5-under 66 in the second round on the strength of six birdies and an eagle.
  • Closed with a 2-under 69, turning in five birdies.
  • Helped the Cowboys move up the team standings each day of the tournament to finish 13th.
