LOGAN, Utah – Utah State golfer Esteban Jaramillo won the Copa Juan Carlos Tailhade team event this past week, representing his home country of Colombia. The prestigious tournament was held at the Los Lagartos Country Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Jaramillo, a senior from Bogota, Colombia, shot a 3-over 287 (73-75-71-68) and his fellow countryman shot an even par 284 (72-69-75-68) as the duo won the team event against 15 other countries.

Individually, Jaramillo tied for fifth with his 3-over 287, which included a 3-under 68 during his final round.

Established in 1996, the Copa Juan Carlos Tailhade attracts top amateur golfers from around the world. Over the years, the tournament has seen participation from notable golfers who later achieved professional success. Some of these players include:
