COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado State and Matthew Wilkinson will return to Fort Collins with all the hardware as the Rams secured their third-consecutive title at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational on Monday. CSU finished the three rounds with a 14-under par (286-281-283—850), while Wilkinson inked a 10-under (65-70-71—206) to take the top spot by three strokes.

Wilkinson, who finished in the top 10 last week at the Ram Masters – CSU’s hosted tournament – led from first swing until last, recording just four bogies during the 72 holes. The junior also tallied 13 under par scores for the three rounds, including an eagle on hole 16 in the first round.

The Rams started the season last week at their home tournament, Ram Masters, finishing first and recording a tournament record 22-under par. CSU had four golfers in the top 10, led by Jake Rodgers who finished second out of the 93-player field.

Colorado State will stay on the Front Range and continue action at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, Sept. 30 – Oct. 1 at the Colorado National Golf Course in Erie, Colo.
