COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West announced its 49-game national television package today for the 2024 football season. CBS Television Network will broadcast four games, CBS Sports Network will televise 27 contests, FOX will air two games and FOX Networks will air 16 games this coming season.
The Mountain West’s national television slate begins in Week 0 on Saturday, Aug. 24, with New Mexico hosting Montana State at 2 p.m. MT on FS1. Later that day, Nevada welcomes SMU at 5 p.m. PT on CBS Sports Network.
Air Force opens its home slate on Saturday, Aug. 31, against Merrimack on CBSSN at 1:30 p.m. MT. The MW’s first appearance on CBS Television Network will also take place on Saturday, Aug. 31, when Hawai‘i hosts UCLA at 1:30 p.m. HT.
San José State visits Air Force on Saturday, Sept. 7, for the league’s opening Conference game, which will kick at 5 p.m. MT on CBSSN.
Three games are slated for national broadcast on Saturday, Sept. 14, as CBSSN will televise a doubleheader starting with Utah at Utah State at 2:30 p.m. MT, followed by BYU at Wyoming at 7 p.m. MT. Colorado State will host Colorado on CBS at 5:30 p.m. MT.
Eight game days throughout the season feature at least three nationally televised games, with four each on Saturday, Oct. 12; Saturday, Nov. 16; and Saturday, Nov. 23.
Air Force hosts rival Navy on CBS on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. MT and San José State entertains Stanford on Friday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m. PT to round out the CBS slate.
All four CBS matchups will also stream live on Paramount+.
The MW will have a second national broadcast on Black Friday (Nov. 29), when Boise State hosts Oregon State on FOX at 10 a.m. MT.
Currently, 10 regular-season games have been moved from Saturday to Friday as part of the MW’s national television package.
As previously announced, the 2024 Old Trapper Mountain West Football Championship game will be played on Friday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m. MT/5 p.m. PT/3 p.m. HT and televised on FOX.
FOX Sports kick times and outlets will be determined during the regular season (generally a 12-day window).
Additional broadcasts by Spectrum Sports (Hawai‘i), MW’s third-tier partner, and regional/local/school broadcasts will be announced in the coming weeks.
