STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 55 Fresno State men’s golf team sits in 10th place after the first round of the NCAA Stanford Regional, after carding a 6-over 286 on Monday at the Stanford Golf Course.
Illinois leads the field at 17-under. Florida State is 13-under, Stanford is 11-under, Ole Miss and Texas A&M are both 9-under and UCLA rounds out the top five at 3-under.
Matthew Manganello set the pace for the Bulldogs in the first round, securing a spot in the top 10 with a score of 3-under 67. The senior notched three birdies and an eagle throughout the round.
The remainder of the Bulldogs’ lineup all posted a score of 3-over 73 for the day.
