COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State’s Chanachon Chokprajakchat has been named Mountain West Men’s Golfer and Freshman of the Week, while UNLV’s Nicole Lorup is the MW Women’s Golfer of the Week.
It is the first weekly/monthly Conference honor for Chokprajakchat and Lorup.

CHANACHON CHOKPRAJAKCHAT, SAN DIEGO STATE
Freshman, Bangkok, Thailand / Anaheim Discovery Christian School
- Helped lead San Diego State to its third-consecutive Wyoming Cowboy Classic team title at the Whirlwind Golf Course in Scottsdale, Arizona.
- Finished tied for fourth in a 116-golfer field, carding a six-under 210.
- Shot rounds of 68-73-69.
- Fourth-place individual finish is a career best, while the 210 matched his 54-hole low score.
- One of just five golfers to shoot six-under or better for the tournament.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
NICOLE LORUP, UNLV
Senior, Smorum, Denmark / Troy
- Competing in the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, led UNLV to a second-place team finish and her highest individual finish of the season, tying for fifth.
- Finished the 54-hole event with a four-over par 220. In the 108-golfer field, no golfer finished below par.
- Opened the tournament with a three-under 69, holding the lowest 18-hole score of the tournament through the first two rounds.
- Had a team-high tying seven birdies for the event.
