LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV men’s golf senior Caden Fioroni tees off in the PGA Tour’s local Shriners Children’s Open Thursday at TPC Summerlin (Par 71, 7,255,yards).

The La Jolla, California native, who will be playing in his first PGA event on a sponsor exemption, begins the first round at 1:35 p.m. Thursday (Hole 1) and the second round at 8:45 a.m. Friday (Hole 10).

Fioroni has posted two top-10 finishes through the Rebels’ first three events of the 2024-25 season. Most recently, the three-time Mountain West All-Conference selection tied for fifth with a season-low 11-under 205 while helping guide UNLV to the team title at SMU’s Trinity Forest Invitational.

REBELS ON TOUR: Along with Fioroni, six golfers on the PGA Tour that have come from Rebel men’s golf program will be playing in the event. Among them are Harry Hall, Garrick Higgo, Charley Hoffman, Kurt Kitayama, Taylor Montgomery and Ryan Moore.

WATCH LIVE: The event will be broadcast via the Golf Channel from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. PT and featured groups on ESPN+ from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the first round. Round two’s broadcast will air from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Golf Channel and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT for the featured groups on ESPN+. FORMAT: The Shriners Children’s Open holds four 18-hole rounds of stroke play with a cut after the first two rounds. The top-65 players through 36 holes, including ties, will advance to weekend play.
