TUCSON — UNLV men’s golf team won the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Men’s Golf Championship title after a sudden death team playoff against New Mexico, which was settled on the par-4, 18th hole. The Rebels and Lobos both posted final scores of 825 (-39) at Omni Tucson National Resort. This victory marks UNLV’s sixth Mountain West tournament championship and gives the Rebel’s the Mountain West’s automatic berth to NCAA Regionals, May 18-20.

Zach Little from the UNLV emerged as the individual champion with a final score of 199, finishing 17-under par, which ties for fourth-lowest score in tournament history. His performance was highlighted by an impressive final round of 64, which tied his third-round score from 2025 and ties for the league’s third-lowest score during the final round, securing his position at the top. Little becomes the eighth Rebel to earn the Mountain West individual title.

Tyler Kowack of San Diego State closely trailed Little, finishing just one stroke behind with a 200, 16-under par. Harry Takis, also from San Diego State, rounded out the top three with a final score of 203, 13-under par.

In the team standings, the Aztecs secured third place with a total score of 829, just four strokes behind the leaders UNLV and New Mexico. San Diego State’s consistency across all three rounds, with scores of 273, 281 and 275 kept them in close contention. Grand Canyon followed in fourth place, posting a combined score of 833, while Wyoming completed the top five at 834.
