COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Softball Championship bracket is set, with play beginning on Wednesday, May 6, in Reno, Nevada, at the Christina M. Hixson Softball Park. The tournament champion will be crowned on Saturday, May 10, and will receive the Mountain West’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The Grand Canyon Lopes secured the regular-season champion title and No. 1 seed with a first-round bye in the Conference tournament.
UNLV will take the final first-round bye as the No. 2 seed. The tournament will feature an eight-game format with an if-necessary game. The first round is single-elimination before the tournament moves to a double-elimination format on Thursday.
Wednesday will feature two games including No. 4 New Mexico vs. No. 5 Fresno State at 3 p.m. PT followed by No. 3 Nevada vs. No. 6 Colorado State.
First pitch for Thursday is set for 3 p.m. PT with the No. 1 seeded Lopes taking on the winner of the No. 4 New Mexico vs. No. 5 Fresno State matchup. The Rebels will then face off against the winner of No. 3 Nevada vs. No. 6 Colorado State at 6 p.m. PT.
Friday’s events will begin at 12 p.m. PT with three games. The championship matchup is set for noon PT on Saturday with an if-necessary game scheduled for approximately 2:30 p.m. PT.
