SAN DIEGO – The Mountain West announced the 2025 All-MW Softball Team and individual honors today as voted on by the league’s nine head coaches. The honors include a 15-player first team and a 16-player second team regardless of position, Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Coach of the Year.

Wolf Pack senior Aaliyah Jenkins earned the MW Player of the Year honor. Fresno State’s Serayah Neiss was named the MW Pitcher of the Year. Jenkins posted a batting average of .522 and an on-base percentage of .607 and slugged 1.159 on the Conference season, all of which led the MW. The California native tallied 29 runs, 36 hits and 32 RBIs on 69 at bats. She notched six doubles, four triples and 10 home runs for the Pack with 16 stolen bases. Neiss, an Oregon native, registered a league-best 10 wins and a 1.97 ERA, the second-best mark in the Conference, on 74.2 innings in the circle for the Bulldogs. She posted 50 strikeouts, third-most in MW play, and allowed only 21 earned runs during the Conference slate. The left-handed pitcher was named MW Pitcher of the Week twice.

Waiki, the MW Defensive Player of the Year, recorded 38 putouts and a league-best 61 assists for the Aztecs during her first collegiate year. She was also part of 10 double plays, tied for second in the league. The freshman infielder from Hawai’i picked up one MW Freshman of the Week honor this year.

Defensively, the first baseman had 153 putouts and four assists for the Blue and Orange. Butt was named MW Freshman of the Week three times this season.

Hayward, in her first season at the helm for the Wolf Pack, led her team to an 18-4 Conference record for its first outright Mountain West title and its most MW wins ever.
