COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State sophomore Harry Takis was tabbed the Mountain West Men’s Golfer of the Week. On the women’s side, UNLV’s Zi Yu Foong picked up the MW Women’s Golfer of the Week honor.

MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Sophomore, Brisbane, Australia/Kelvin Grove State College

  • Led the Aztecs to a 12th place team finish (tied) at the Southern Highlands Collegiate where all 15 teams in the field were ranked in the top 50.
  • The sophomore finished tied for seventh individually with a 212 total score, -4.
  • Across his three rounds logged a 67,73 and 72, respectively.
  • His 67 to open the event was tied for second-lowest round in the tournament.


WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
ZI YU FOONG, UNLV
Junior, Salangor, Malaysia/Lipscomb

  • Led UNLV to a fourth-place team finish at the Lady Luck Invitational in Las Vegas, placing ahead of four top 50 teams.
  • The junior finished tied for second place individually with a total score of 215, -1, in a field of 76 competitors.
  • She notched a pair of 70 stroke rounds and closed the event with a 75.
