MW Outdoor Track & Field Championship Central | Final Results
CLOVIS, Calif. – The final day of the 2025 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships came to a close with the New Mexico women claiming their first outdoor team title in program history, while the Colorado State men took home its fourth title all-time.
The Lobos finished the competition with 153 points while winning four event titles in the 10,000-meter (Jasmine Wood) 5,000-meter (Pamela Kosgei), 3,000-meter steeplechase (Pamela Kosgei) and the 4×400-meter relay race.
With 192.50 points, the Rams held off New Mexico, who finished in second place with 171.50 points. Colorado State would finish the Championship meet with four individual event titles in the triple jump (Ismael Dembele), high jump (Rhys Travis), long jump (Ismael Dembele), and 110-meter hurdle race (Cole Nordman).
Colorado State head coach Brian Bedard was named MW Men’s Coach of the Year and New Mexico head coach Darren Gauson was named MW Women’s Coach of the Year as they both swept the awards at the Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships this year.
UNLV’s Kennedi Porter was named the MW Women’s Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet award after winning gold in the 100 meters and 200 meters for a second consecutive year. New Mexico’s Matthew Kosgei was named the MW Men’s Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet after winning gold and setting the MW Championship record in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with his time of 8:25.56.
The MW Women’s Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet award was given to San José State’s Emilia Sjostrand who won gold in the triple jump for a third straight year while finishing second in the long jump. Air Force’s Texas Tanner was named the MW Men’s Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet honoree after winning the discus throw and hammer throw while breaking the MW Championship records in both events.
