COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State’s Mykenzie Hanna was tabbed the Mountain West Softball Player of the Week, while San Deigo State’s Cece Cellura earned the MW Softball Pitcher of the Week nod. Boise State’s Quinn Southerland collected the MW Softball Freshman of the Week.

This is the third weekly honor for Cellura and first for Hanna and Southerland during the 2025 season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MYKENZIE HANNA, BOISE STATE
Senior, RF, Chino Hills, California/Chino Hills HS

  • Led the Broncos to a 3-0 home series against Utah State in which the Blue and Orange clinched the No. 4 seed in the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Softball Championship.
  • Batted .625 with at least one hit in each game, posted an on-base percentage of .750 and had a slugging percentage of 1.000.
  • On eight at-bats, logged five hits, including one home run, five runs and four RBIs. Also walked four times and had one stolen base.
  • Defensively, tallied three putouts and three outfield assists.


PITCHER OF THE WEEK
CECE CELLURA, SAN DIEGO STATE
Sophomore, Glendale, California/Louisville HS

  • Appeared in all three games for the Aztecs to help them sweep San José State and clinch the No. 2 seed in the Conference tournament.
  • Registered a 0.00 ERA in 10.1 innings in the circle.
  • Allowed only one unearned run and eight hits.
  • Struck out nine batters.


FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
QUINN SOUTHERLAND, BOISE STATE
2B, Mission Viejo, California/Capistrano Valley HS

  • Started all three games at second base for the Broncos and assisted them in the 3-0 sweep of Utah State to clinch the No. 4 seed in the MW tournament.
  • Batted .500, had an on-base percentage of .500 and amassed a slugging percentage of .800.
  • Posted five hits, including one home run, three runs and three RBIs on 10 at-bats.
  • Defensively, tallied six putouts and 12 assists.
