COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West will be represented by four teams in the 2025 NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals from May 12-14, as the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Committee announced the 81-team field Wednesday.

The MW has sent at least three teams to the NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals in every year of its existence. The Conference has advanced at least one team beyond the regional round in eight of the last nine NCAA postseasons.

Two league squads will compete at the Tallahassee Regional, hosted by Florida State, with MW champion San Diego State the No. 3 seed and New Mexico the No. 8 seed. Those squads will tee it up at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

The 15th-ranked Aztecs gained the MW’s automatic bid after cruising to a 23-stroke win at the 2025 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Men’s Golf Championship for their fourth straight MW title. Senior Justin Hastings won the individual title at 18-under-par 198, four strokes clear of teammate Harry Takis. All told, the Aztecs put four players in the top eight of the MW tournament. San Diego State is in the postseason for the fifth straight season and the 23rd time in 24 chances as a member of the Mountain West. SDSU, which has won three tournaments this season, is vying to advance to the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2021.

New Mexico, ranked 46th nationally, is making its sixth straight regionals appearance, its 12th in the last 13 seasons, and its 22nd as a member of the Mountain West. The Lobos have advanced to the NCAA Championships in each of the last two seasons and are seeking to become the first MW squad to reach three straight since UNLV did so from 2017-19. UNM enters NCAA play having posted three consecutive top-five showings, including a third-place finish at the CU1 MW Men’s Golf Championship.

No. 35 UNLV, the runner-up at the MW tournament, heads to the Urbana Regional, hosted by Illinois at Atkins Golf Club. The Rebels, seeded sixth in the regional, will be making their second straight NCAA Regional appearance and 22nd as members of the Mountain West. UNLV, which boasts six top-five finishes including a pair of wins this season, is attempting to reach the NCAA Championships for the first time since a three-year run from 2017-19.

Colorado State, ranked 54th nationally, heads to Washington and will be the No. 9 seed at the Bremerton Regional, which will be played at Gold Mountain Golf Club. The Rams are making their fourth straight postseason appearance and 18th as members of the MW. CSU, which has posted six top-five finishes this season, including a trio of wins and a fourth-place showing at the MW tournament, last reached the NCAA Championships in 2023.

The NCAA regionals will be played across six sites, which will determine the 30 teams and six individuals not on those qualifying teams who will advance to the finals. The 2025 national championships will be contested May 23-28 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Championship play will be hosted by the University of Texas at Austin.
