COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State’s Jazmin Williams was named the Mountain West Softball Player of the Week, while teammate Cece Cellura was tabbed MW Pitcher of the Week. New Mexico’s Natalie Fritz picked up the MW Freshman of the Week nod.

This is the second weekly honor for Cellura and Fritz and the first for Williams during the 2025 season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JAZMIN WILLIAMS, SAN DIEGO STATE
Sophomore, Utility, San Diego, California/Cal State Fullerton

  • Led the Aztecs to a series sweep over UNLV.
  • Started all three games, two at third and one in right field.
  • Posted a batting average of .625, on-base percentage of .625 and a slugging percentage of 1.500.
  • On eight at-bats, recorded three runs, seven RBIs and five hits, including one double and two home runs.
  • Also logged one stolen base.
  • Defensively, had two putouts and two assists.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
CECE CELLURA, SAN DIEGO STATE
Sophomore, Glendale, California/Louisville HS

  • Pitched in two games for the Aztecs, helping to ensure the series sweep over UNLV.
  • Notched a 0.00 ERA over 8.2 innings in the circle.
  • Allowed two hits, no runs and threw five strikeouts.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
NATALIE FRITZ, NEW MEXICO
Pitcher, Chandler, Arizona/Basha HS

  • Helped New Mexico to a 2-1 series win over Colorado State.
  • Started one game out of her two appearances.
  • Tallied a 0.88 ERA over eight innings in the circle for the Lobos.
  • Only gave up one earned run and allowed nine hits.
  • Struck out three batters.
