COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Four players from current Mountain West men’s golf programs will participate in the 89th Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club, including current San Diego State student-athlete Justin Hastings, one of just five amateurs in the field.

The first of four rounds of the 2025 tournament tees off Thursday morning.

Hastings will be joined in the field by former SDSU players Xander Schauffele and J.J. Spaun and UNLV alum Adam Scott, the 2013 Masters champion.

Hastings tees off Thursday at 12:11 p.m. ET and is paired with 2020 Masters champion Dustin Johnson and Nick Taylor. The Aztec senior will be making his Masters and major championship debut. He earned his Masters invite, as well as exemptions into The Open and the U.S. Open, by winning the 2025 Latin American Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Jan. 16-18.

Spaun, making his second Masters start, is paired with Max Homa and Justin Rose and will tee off at 12:00 p.m. ET.

Schauffele and Scott are paired together with Viktor Hovland and will tee off at 1:01 p.m. ET. Schauffele will be making his eighth Masters start and Scott his 24th.

ESPN will broadcast the first two rounds before CBS takes over coverage for the Saturday and Sunday rounds. Streaming coverage will also be available on ESPN+, Paramount+, Masters.com and the Masters App.
