COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Nevada’s Aaliyah Jenkins was named the Mountain West Softball Player of the Week for the third consecutive week, while teammate Hailey McLean was tabbed MW Pitcher of the Week for second week in a row. New Mexico’s Jessica DeLeon was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.

This is the fourth weekly honor for McLean, third for Jenkins and first for DeLeon during the 2025 season.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
AALIYAH JENKINS, NEVADA
Senior, Catcher/Outfield, Tracy, California/Tracy HS

  • Led the Wolf Pack to a 4-1 week with series sweeps over UNLV and on the road at Fresno State, with the Pack’s lone loss coming from a nonconference match-up with Cal.
  • The senior started all five games, four behind the plate at catcher and one in right field for Nevada.
  • Across the five games, logged a .438 batting average, a .471 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of 1.438.
  • Recorded five runs, four home runs, two triples, and nine RBIs on seven hits, only striking out once.
  • Logged a career-high 11 total bases against UNLV with two homers and a triple.
  • Defensively, tallied 19 putouts and three assists.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
HAILEY MCLEAN, NEVADA
Junior, Sparks, Nevada/Utah State

  • Assisted Nevada to a 4-1 week, appearing in four of the Pack’s five games and starting two of them, one of which was a complete-game win over in-state rival UNLV.
  • Registered a 0.50 ERA on a 2-0 week and picked up two saves in 14 innings in the circle.
  • Allowed only two runs, one earned, and eight hits, securing 14 strikeouts.
  • The junior logged three scoreless appearances for the Wolf Pack.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
JESSICA DELEON, NEW MEXICO
Catcher/Infield, San Marcos, Texas/San Marcos HS

  • Led New Mexico to a win over Boise State, securing the Lobos’ first home win over the Broncos since 2021.
  • Started all four games at catcher and logged 24 putouts.
  • Had a batting average of .692, an on-base percentage of .647 and a slugging percentage of .846.
  • Collected two doubles, one run and seven RBIs on nine hits and was walked twice in 13 at-bats.
  • Also logged two sacrifice flies.
