COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State’s Cali Decker was named the Mountain West Softball Player of the Week while, Fresno State’s Serayah Neiss was selected as the MW Pitcher of the Week. New Mexico’s Miracle McKenzie picked up the MW Freshman of the Week nod.
This is the first weekly honor for Decker, Neiss and McKenzie on the 2025 season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CALI DECKER, SAN DIEGO STATE
Senior, Catcher, New Smyrna Beach, Florida/Florida
- Helped the Aztecs to a 2-1 week to open Mountain West play.
- Started all three matchups and logged five hits, four runs, five RBIs and two home runs on 11 at-bats.
- Posted a .455 batting average, a .571 on-base percentage and a 1.273 slugging percentage.
- Defensively, registered eight putouts and one assist.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
SERAYAH NEISS, FRESNO STATE
Junior, Newberg, Oregon/Newberg HS
- Led the Bulldogs to their first series sweep over Boise State since 2021 to open league play.
- The junior was 2-0 in the circle, logging a 1.27 ERA and 10 strikeouts in 11 innings.
- Allowed only two runs on nine hits.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
MIRACLE MCKENZIE, NEW MEXICO
Infield, Long Beach, California/St. Anthony HS
- Helped the Lobos to a 2-2 week, including a 2-1 mark to open up Conference play.
- Started all four matchups for New Mexico and recorded a .364 batting average, a .462 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of .455.
- Logged four hits and six RBIs on 11 at-bats.
- Defensively, had 26 putouts and one assist.
