COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State’s Alycia Flores was tabbed the MW Softball Player of the week while Utah State’s Jessica Stewart was named the MW Softball Pitcher of the Week. MW Freshman of the Week honors were awarded to Boise State’s Sophia Knight.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ALYCIA FLORES, BOISE STATE

Senior, DP, Colton, California/Grand Terrace HS

  • Hit .625 with 11 RBIs and five runs scored to lead Boise State to a 4-0 week with a pair of wins each over Utah Valley and Weber State.
  • Had four multi-hit games, including a 4-for-4 effort against Weber State on Saturday to cap the weekend.
  • Had multiple RBIs in all four games, driving in three runs in three of those contests.
  • Had a home run against Utah Valley and a double against Weber State on Saturday to finish the week with an .875 slugging percentage.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK

JESSICA STEWART, UTAH STATE

Senior, Salinas, California/Salinas HS

  • Helped Utah State to a 6-0 week, making four appearances and notching two saves without allowing an earned run in 8 2/3 innings. She struck out six and walked just one.
  • Earned her first save of the week with 1 1/3 innings of hitless relief against Utah Tech on Tuesday, recording three of her four outs via strikeout.
  • After throwing a third of an inning against North Dakota in a 2-0 win on Friday, she earned the start against Toledo the next day and threw six innings of scoreless ball but did not factor into the decision.
  • Picked up her second save of the week with a scoreless inning in the Aggies’ 4-2 win over Long Beach State on Sunday.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

SOPHIA KNIGHT, BOISE STATE

Outfielder, Huntington Beach, California/Huntington Beach HS

  • Helped Boise State to a 4-0 mark on the week by hitting .529 in a pair of wins each over Utah Valley and Weber State.
  • Recorded four multi-hit games, opening her week with a 3-for-4 showing at Utah Valley on Friday.
  • Had two hits in each of the remaining three games.
  • Scored at least two runs in each contest, crossing the plate three times in a win over Weber State on Friday and nine times total on the weekend.
  • Was also a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen-base attempts, swiping a pair in the opener against Utah Valley.
