RENO — Nevada defeated Colorado State with a decisive 10-1 victory in the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championship at Christina M. Hixson Softball Park. Nevada’s offense was highlighted by three home runs, contributing to an eight-run third inning that set the tone for the game.
Nevada’s Hannah Di Genova emerged as a standout player for the Wolf Pack, leading the team with three hits while driving in four runs, including a home run in the third inning. Her performance was supported by Lexi O’Gorman, who contributed two RBIs off a double. Karolyn Glover added to the 10-run explosion with two RBIs and one home run. Additionally, Katelyn Wetteland showcased her power with a home run, two RBIs and two hits, enhancing the lineup’s depth.
Hailey McLean picked up the win for Nevada, her 10th of the season, throwing 4.2 innings, recording five strikeouts and one earned run.
Colorado State’s Jailey Wilson showcased her power early, giving the Rams a 1-0 lead with a home run. She also hit a double, contributing CSU’s only run of the game.
On the mound for the Rams, Giselle Bentley threw 2.1 innings, striking out two batters despite allowing five earned runs.
