COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State’s Madi Eslinger was tabbed the Mountain West Softball Player and Freshman of the Week, while Grand Canyon’s Taryn Batterton collected the MW Softball Pitcher of the Week nod.

  • Led the Rams to a series sweep over Utah State.
  • Collected a batting average of .556, an on-base percentage of .615 and slugged at a 1.222 percent.
  • Across nine at-bats, tallied five hits, including two home runs, four runs and drove in 11 RBIs.

  • Appeared in both victories against UNLV to secure the series win.
  • Pitched six innings in the circle for the Lopes amassing a 0.00 ERA, six strikeouts, allowed only four hits.
