COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Nevada’s Hannah Di Genova was tabbed the Mountain West Softball Player of the Week, while teammate Katie Wetteland picked up the MW Softball Freshman of the Week honor. Grand Canyon’s Natalie Fritz earned the MW Softball Pitcher of the Week nod.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
HANNAH DI GENOVA, NEVADA
Senior, Infielder, Woodland Hills, California/El Camino Real Charter HS
- Led the Wolf Pack to 3-1 week with a series sweep of San Diego State and a series split against New Mexico.
- Recorded a .462 batting average, .588 on-base percentage and a 1.308 slugging percentage across 13 at-bats.
- Tallied seven runs on six hits, three home runs and 13 RBIs.
- Stole one base on one attempt.
- Defensively, logged 21 putouts, one assist and a single error.

- Helped the Lopes to a perfect 4-0 week with series sweeps of Fresno State and Boise State.
- Logged a 0.00 ERA on two starts during the week.
- Across 7.1 innings in the circle, registered five strikeouts and didn’t allow a single run.

KATIE WETTELAND, NEVADA

- Helped the Wolf Pack to a 3-1 week.
- Registered a batting average of .462, an on-base percentage of .588 and slugged at a 1.077 clip.
