COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State senior Cole Rueck was tabbed the Mountain West Men’s Golfer of the Week.
On the women’s side, Grand Canyon’s Alexis Vakasiuola and Wyoming’s Kiley Reisner were tabbed MW Women’s Co-Golfers and Freshmen of the Week.
MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
COLE RUECK, BOISE STATE
Senior, Corvallis, Oregon/Corvallis HS
- Led the Broncos to a third-place team finish at the UC Santa Barbara Intercollegiate in a field of nine teams.
- Individually, logged a runner-up finish with a five-under par mark of 211 against 56 competitors.
- Shot an average of 70.3 across the three rounds with a low round mark of 69.
WOMEN’S CO-GOLFER & FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
ALEXIS VAKASIUOLA, GRAND CANYON
Freshman, San Tan Valley, Arizona/Combs HS
- Led the Lopes to a top-five finish, tied for fourth, at the Cowgirl Classic in Maricopa, Arizona, in a field of 20 teams.
- Individually, finished tied for fourth with a total score of 207, nine-under par in a field of 116 golfers.
- Tallied round scores of 71, 69 and 67 across the three rounds.
- Finished better than three players ranked in the top 125 of the Clippd Scoreboard Rankings.
WOMEN’S CO-GOLFER & FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
KILEY REISNER, WYOMING
Freshman, Northridge, California/Simi Valley HS
- Led the Cowgirls to a ninth-place team finish in a field of 20 programs at the Cowgirl Classic in Maricopa, Arizona.
- Recorded a tied for fourth place finish individually after shooting nine-under par, 207, amongst 116 peers.
- Set a program record for lowest event score.
- Recorded round scores of 70, 69 and 68.
- Finished better than three players ranked in the top 125 of the Clippd Scoreboard Rankings.
