COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State catcher Jade Ignacio was tabbed the Mountain West Softball Player of the Week, while teammate Key-annah Pu’a was named the MW Pitcher of the Week. The MW Softball Freshman of the Week honor was earned by Grand Canyon’s Addison Shifflett.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JADE IGNACIO, SAN DIEGO STATE
Senior, Catcher, Oceanside, California/El Camino HS
• Helped lead San Diego State to a 5-1 week with victories over Baylor (4-3, 8 innings), North Dakota (6-0), Fordham (2-1, 8 innings) and a sweep of Oregon State (8-5, 9 innings and 10-5).
• Recorded 11 hits with a .458 batting average and tallied seven RBIs and five runs scored.
• Had at least one hit in all five contests, including three multi-hit games.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
KEY-ANNAH PU’A, SAN DIEGO STATE
Senior, RHP, Nipomo, California/Fresno State
• Pitched in three San Diego State victories over the weekend, tossing 11.2 innings while striking out six batters and allowing just one earned run.
• Was 1-0 with a 0.60 ERA and a 2.00 strikeout to walk ratio.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
ADDISON SHIFFLETT, GRAND CANYON
Outfielder, Liberty Hill, Texas/Liberty Hill HS
• Made first collegiate starts over the weekend as Grand Canyon put together a perfect 5-0 weekend with a pair of wins over Northern Colorado (12-0 and 8-3), Sacramento State (4-2), South Dakota (1-0) and Harvard (2-1).
• For the week, hit .467 and led the team with seven hits.
• Against Northern Colorado, recorded first collegiate home run, a three run go-ahead shot.
