COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The bracket is set for the 2024 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Women’s Soccer Championship, which kicks off on Sunday, Nov. 3, at the SDSU Sports Deck in San Diego.
The six-team single-elimination tournament will feature two matches each on Sunday, Nov. 3, and Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 4 p.m. PT and 7 p.m. PT, with the championship match being played on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 6 p.m. PT. All five matches will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network and the MW App. Live stats for each match will also be available on the 2024 MW Women’s Soccer Championship Central page.
Boise State claimed the 2024 regular-season title with an 8-1-2 Conference record and earned the No. 1 seed in the MW tournament. The Broncos are making their 11th MW championship appearance. Boise State owns an 8-8-1 record in the Conference tournament and claimed its lone tournament title in 2019.
Earning its seventh MW championship berth, Utah State is the No. 2 seed after concluding MW play with a 7-1-3 mark. The Aggies are the defending MW tournament champions after winning their first championship title a season ago. USU is making its fourth postseason appearance in a row, dating back to 2021.
Colorado State will be the No. 3 seed after finishing the league season with a 7-1-3 record. This marks the second time that CSU has been the three seed, the highest seed in program history. The Rams are making their fourth MW tournament appearance since 2019.
With a 6-2-3 Conference record, San Diego State is the No. 4 seed in the MW tournament and is making its 24th Conference tournament appearance in program history. SDSU has won five MW tournament titles in program history, with the last in 2017.
UNLV earned its first MW tournament berth since 2016 and will be the No. 5 seed after registering a 5-5-1 mark in Conference action. The Rebels are making their 17th MW postseason appearance.
Nevada is the No. 6 seed in the 2024 MW championship after concluding league action with a 4-5-2 record. The Wolf Pack are making their fourth MW postseason appearance and second in a row.
In Sunday’s opening round, No. 3 Colorado State plays No. 6 Nevada at 4 p.m. PT, followed by No. 4 San Diego State versus No. 5 UNLV at 7 p.m. PT. The winner of Sunday’s first match will take on No. 2 seed Utah State at 4 p.m. PT on Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the first of two semifinal matches. The other semifinal contest on Wednesday will pit top-seed Boise State against the winner of Sunday’s No. 4 vs. No. 5 contest at 7 p.m. PT.
The winners of the semifinal matches will vie for the Conference championship title on Saturday, Nov. 9. The winner will be crowned the 2024 MW women’s soccer champion and punch its ticket to the NCAA women’s soccer tournament.
