COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West will be represented by three teams and four individuals in the 2023 NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals, announced by the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Committee on Wednesday. This marks the 23rd consecutive season the MW has sent at least three teams to the postseason.

For the second-consecutive year, San Diego State earned the league’s automatic berth after capturing the Conference championship in record-setting fashion at Omni Tucson National last week. The Aztecs, who carded an all-time tournament-best 60-under par last weekend, will be joined in the postseason by Colorado State and New Mexico.

Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 15-17. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The top five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.

Team and individual medalist titles will be decided May 26-31 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.

San Diego State earned a No. 4 seed in the Salem Regional, and will be joined there by New Mexico, which earned the No. 8 seed. Colorado State is the No. 4 seed in the Auburn Regional.

Fresno State’s Matthew Manganello and Matthew Sutherland will join San José State’s Caleb Shetler in the San Jose Regional, while UNLV’s Caden Fioroni will compete at the Las Vegas Regional.

The MW has advanced beyond the regional round in six of the last seven tournaments.

Live scoring from each NCAA regional will be available on NCAA.com and Golfstat.com.
