RENO, Nev. – Junior catcher Jake Harvey was named to the 2025 Buster Posey Award Midseason watch list, the Wichita Sports Commission announced Wednesday.

Harvey has been one of the most reliable catchers in the Mountain West in 2025, starting 31 of the Wolf Pack’s 40 games behind the plate. Overall, he’s posted a fielding percentage of .992 over 266 chances, and thrown out 11 would-be base stealers. Opponents have only attempted to steal on Harvey 30 times this season, the eighth-lowest total among all Mountain West catchers, and his 11 baserunners caught stealing ranks tied for second in the conference.

At the plate, Harvey’s doubled eight times and is batting .275 with a team-best 21 walks.

Semifinalists for the Buster Posey Award will be announced May 19.

Nevada (23-17, 10-8 MW) makes its second weekend road trip in a row coming up, visiting Air Force for the only scheduled series between the two teams.
