RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. — UNLV won its second-consecutive Mountain West title, and ninth all-time, after carding a 54-hole score of 14-over par, 878, to secure the 2026 Credit Union 1 MW Women’s Golf Championship.

The Rebels, who entered the final day in third place but just two strokes off Grand Canyon, were led by sophomore Amber Chen, who carded a final-round 3-under 69 to help UNLV earn the league’s automatic qualifier into the NCAA women’s golf regionals.

Boise State junior Leia Chung won the Mountain West’s individual title with a five-under 211 for the tournament, becoming the first Bronco to ever win the Conference individual title. Chung finished two strokes ahead of Wyoming’s Kiley Reisner, who was one of just two golfers under par for the tournament and is the first Cowgirl to earn a top-three individual finish at the league tournament since 2009.

A quartet tied for third place with scores of even par, including UNLV’s Pin Hsi Chen, teammate Zi Yu Foong, Colorado State’s Kara Kaneshiro and Grand Canyon’s Alexis Vakasiuola.

In the team standings, the Rebels’ consistent performance in the third round with a score of 292 (+4) was bolstered by strong showings from Chen and Foong, who both placed in the top three. San José State shot the best team score of the final round, carding a three-over par for the day and moved up two spots into second place for the tournament. Grand Canyon, competing in its first Mountain West Women’s Golf Championship, rounded out the top three with a 20-over par score.

The NCAA selection show will broadcast on the Golf Channel on Wednesday, April 29, at 2 p.m. MT/1 p.m. PT.
