COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –New Mexico’s Taniya Looney has been named the Mountain West Women’s Track Athlete of the Week and San Diego State’s Jenna Fee Feyerabend is the MW Women’s Field Athlete of the Week. Nevada’s Anne Schuch was selected as the MW Women’s Freshman of the Week.
On the men’s side, Colorado State’s Owen Langdon was named the MW Men’s Track Athlete of the Week and Men’s Freshman of the Week, marking his first track athlete of the week nod of his career and second freshman honor overall after earning one during the indoor campaign. Boise State’s Raekwon Weatherspoon picked up his second consecutive MW Men’s Field Athlete of the Week award.
WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
TANIYA LOONEY, NEW MEXICO
Junior, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma/Pittsburg State
- Ran the fastest 100-meter in the Mountain West this season (11.05) en route to a second-place finish at Texas A&M’s 44 Farms Invitational (College Station, Texas).
- The time ranks No. 8 in the NCAA this season.
- Anchored the 4x100m relay team that posted a time of 45.20, the second-fastest time in program history and added a fifth-place finish in the 200-meter (23.04).
WOMEN’S FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
JENNA FEE FEYERABEND, SAN DIEGO STATE
Senior, Groß-Gerau, Germany/Carl-Von-Weinberg Schule
- Won the heptathlon at the Annual Aztec Invitational (San Diego, California) with a score of 5,828 points.
- Her score currently ranks as the second-best mark in the nation and is the fourth-highest total in Mountain West Outdoor history.
- Took first place in five individual heptathlon events: javelin, long jump, 200-meter dash, shot put, and high jump, while posting a person-best javelin (44.40 meters)
WOMEN’S FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
ANNE SCHUCH, NEVADA
Freshman, Dresden, Germany/Sportgymnasium Halle
- Won the Group D Heptathlon at the Bryan Clay Multis (Azusa, California) with a total score of 5,186 points.
- Secured first-place finishes in the high jump (1.62 meter) and the 800-meter (2:27.06) within her group.
- Placed in the top three in four of the seven heptathlon events, including the 100-meter hurdles (14.90) and long jump (5.58m).
- Holds the top heptathlon score by a freshman in the Conference and ranks third overall.
MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE & FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
OWEN LANGDON, COLORADO STATE

- Clocked a time of 13.57 in the 110-meter hurdles at the Mines Mid-Week and Multis (Golden, Colorado), falling just .02 seconds shy of the all-time school record.
- His hurdles time ranks 15th in the NCAA, sixth in the West Region, and first in the Mountain West.
- Member of the record-breaking 4×400-meter relay squad that recorded a time of 3:05.87, which currently ranks best in Conference and is the fifth-best time in Mountain West history after altitude adjustment.

RAEKWON WEATHERSPOON, BOISE STATE
Junior, Las Vegas, Nevada/Pima CC
- Tied the Boise State school record in the long jump with a mark of 7.89 meters at the Texas A&M 44 Farms Invitational.
- His winning mark is tied for seventh in the nation and fifth all-time in Mountain West outdoor history.
- Currently leads the Conference in the long jump by 0.38m.
- Contributed to the 4×100-meter relay team that set the fifth-fastest time in Boise State history (40.51).
