PHOENIX – Boise State clinched the Mountain West regular season title with a 1-0 win over Grand Canyon, Thursday in women’s soccer action.

The Broncos (9-3-6, 7-0-2 MW) struck in the fifth minute with Kenzie MacMillan finding the back of the net from the right side of the box. The goal was her sixth of the season and 23rd of her career.

The Boise State defense held onto secure the win. Grand Canyon fell to 8-8-1 and 3-5-1 in the MW.

Boise State led in shots 19-8, including 16-3 in the first half, and had a 7-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Boise State will host the Mountain West Women’s soccer Championship, Nov. 2-8. As the No.1 seed, the Broncos will have a first round bye and will play in a semifinal match, Wednesday, Nov. 5.
