COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Grand Canyon sophomore forward Ellie Johannes has been named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, while San Diego State senior defender Grace Goins was selected as the MW Defensive Player of the Week. San Diego State goalkeeper Kailey Carlen was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Led Grand Canyon to a 1-0 win at Northern Arizona.
- Scored the game-winning goal in the 29th minute.
- Recorded five shots in 79 minutes of action on the pitch.

Senior, Defender, El Dorado Hills, California/Oak Ridge HS
- Guided San Diego State to a 1-0-1 week with a nonconference win over Nevada (4-0) and a draw against Hawai’i (0-0).
- Part of the backline that recorded back-to-back shutouts.
- Logged 180 minutes on the field, limiting opponents to just five shots.
