COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – New Mexico junior forward Nicole Anderson has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, while Utah State graduate goalkeeper Taylor Rath was selected as the MW Defensive Player of the Week. Nevada newcomer Naima Castro was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Led New Mexico to a 1-0-1 record to open the 2025 season with a win over Texas Southern (8-0) and draw against Texas A&M – Corpus Christi (1-1).
- Recorded first collegiate hat trick in the season opener against Texas Southern.
- Totaled six points and nine shots in two starts.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Helped Utah State to a season-opening 1-0 victory at Washington State.
- Played all 90 minutes in the net, earning the shutout.
- Finished the match with two saves.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
NAIMA CASTRO, NEVADA

- Helped Nevada to a 1-1 record to start the season with a win at Northern Arizona (2-1) and a setback at Arizona State (2-0).
- Scored first collegiate goal against NAU, tying the game and igniting the Wolf Pack comeback.
- Posted two points and three shots in two starts.
