COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Lilly Urban qualified for the national meet in Javelin and Magdalene George moved on to Saturday’s quarterfinals in both the 100 and 200 Meters to highlight Nevada’s performances Thursday at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field West First Round in College Station, Texas.

Urban made her final javelin throw count, hitting a mark of 53.49 meters to finish eighth and punch her ticket to next week’s national finals.
Urban was just outside of the 12th and final qualifying spot headed into the third and final round of Flight 4. The sixth-to-last thrower in the competition, Urban hurled the javelin for a mark of 53.49 to clinch a top-12 finish and a spot at nationals.
The 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships are set for June 11-14 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. The women’s Javelin final is scheduled for Wednesday, June 12 at 5:15 p.m.
George, in the sixth and final first-round heat of the 100 Meters, clocked a season-best 11.30. Although she did not finish in the top three of her heat, which would have qualified her automatically for the quarterfinals, she advanced by posting one of the six next-fastest times.
Just over an hour later, George was back in the blocks for the first heat in the 200 Meters. She finished fourth in her heat, but advanced thanks to her time of 23.29 being one of the six next-fastest.
The quarterfinals of the 100 Meters are scheduled for 4:35 p.m. PT Saturday, with the 200 Meters quarterfinals at 5:50 p.m. PT.
Izzy Steerman was the first Wolf Pack competitor in the arena Thursday. Competing in Flight 1 in Javelin, Steerman posted her top throw on her third and final attempt. Her top mark of 44.70 meters finished 35th among the field.
Annalies Kalma ran in the second heat of the 400 Meters, finishing in 53.43 and 29th overall.
