KOHLER, Wisc. – Wyoming golfer Meghan Vogt finished 11th in the women’s individual field at the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship this week at Whistling Straits.

Vogt carded a 241 (+25) in the 54-hole event which began Monday and concluded Wednesday. The Cowgirl senior was in contention after shooting 74 on Tuesday but fell off the pace with an 86 in tough conditions as 30 mph wind gusts whipped off Lake Michigan during the final round.

Delaware’s Hyunji Kim (223) won in a playoff over Nebraska’s Miu Takahashi (223).

Vogt, who recently finished tied for 32nd in the Mountain West Championships after battling injuries for two years, will return to UW for the 2025-26 season. She will lead a Cowgirl team which also returns MW freshmen of the week selections Lucia Morelli and Kira Reisner, Samantha Spielman of Sheridan and Sophie Spiva of Casper.

“Being able to have the opportunity to get a year back from injuries is something I’m super grateful for,” Vogt said. “Now getting the opportunity to do something like this, it’s really shown me how much (the work) has paid off to get an extra year and take the time off to recover and now really get back into it.”

Vogt will graduate from UW with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences on May 17 and then pursue an MBA while using her extra year of eligibility.
