COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State senior Jewel Ash has been named the Mountain West Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, while Nevada’s Lilly Urban and Kaja Maltaric were named the MW Women’s Field Athlete of the Week and the MW Women’s Track & Field Freshman of the Week, respectively.
On the men’s side, Utah State’s Walker Cole earned MW Men’s Track Athlete of the Week with Air Force sweeping the MW Men’s Field Athlete of the Week and MW Men’s Track & Field Freshman of the Week as junior Texas Tanner picked up the field honor and Asher Jenkins garnered the freshman award.WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

- Placed first in the 400-meter dash at the Hornet Invitational with a time of 58.17, the third-fastest time in program history.
- Mark in the 400m leads the Mountain West and ranks No. 7 in the NCAA this season.
- Added a third-place finish in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.61, also the third-fastest in program history.
- Helped the 4×400-meter relay to a first-place finish with a Mountain-West leading time of 3:39.02.

Sophomore, Frankfurt, Germany/ Limesschule Idstein
- Placed first in the javelin with a throw of 52.56 meters at the Hornet Invitational.
- The throw set a Nevada program record in the event, breaking a 19-year old mark.
- Ranks No. 8 in the NCAA in javelin overall and the top sophomore in the country.

Studencice, Slovenia/ Secondary School for Pharmacy, Cosmetics and Health
- Placed 5th in the triple jump at the Hornet Invitational with a personal-best jump of 12.12 meters.
- Mark sits at No. 5 in program history and second-best in the MW this season.
- Also ranks No. 13 among freshman in the NCAA.
MEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Sophomore, Birmingham, Alabama/ Oak Mountain HS
- In first collegiate race since 2022, finished third in the 5,000 meter at the Utah Tech Invitational.
- His time of 14:26.89 is the fastest in the conference this season and ranks 42nd in the country.

TEXAS TANNER, AIR FORCE
Junior, Sheridan, Wyoming/Sheridan HS
- Broke his Mountain West, Service Academy and Air Force program record in the hammer throw at 73.43 meters, adding three feet previous record that he set last spring.
- Finished first among 42 competitors in the event at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Early Bird Invitational, bettering the field by nearly 12 meters.
- Throw currently ranks No. 3 in the NCAA.
MEN’S FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
ASHER JENKINS, AIR FORCE
Omaha, Nebraska/ Bellevue West HS
- Finished second out of 66 runners in his 100-meter debut at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Early Bird Invitational with a time of 10.47 that ranks second in the Mountain West.
- Added a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter with time of 21.73.
- Helped the 4x100m relay to first-place finish with a time of 40.13, matching the fifth-fastest time in program history.
