COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – New Mexico senior forward Nelly Junior Joseph has been named the Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Fresno State’s Elijah Price was selected as the MW Men’s Basketball Freshman of the Week.

This is the fourth weekly honor for Junior Joseph in 2024-25 and second for Price.

MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

NELLY JUNIOR JOSEPH, NEW MEXICO

Senior, Forward, Benin City, Nigeria/Iona

  • Led New Mexico to a 2-0 record last week with wins over Colorado State (87-65) and at Air Force (88-53).
  • Averaged a double-double with 16 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks per game. Shot 52.6 percent from the field.
  • Against the Rams, tallied 18 points, 11 boards and five blocks. Connected on 10-of-13 attempts from the charity stripe.
  • Against the Falcons, scored 14 points and grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds. Made 6-of-10 shots from the field.

MEN’S BASKETBALL FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

ELIJAH PRICE, FRESNO STATE

Forward, Long Beach, California/Drake

  • Averaged 15 points and 5.5 rebounds in two starts against San José State and Utah State.
  • In the overtime victory against the Spartans, recorded 17 points, seven boards and three steals.
  • Against the Aggies, registered 13 points, four rebounds and three steals.
