LOGAN, Utah – Utah State junior guard Mason Falslev has been named an Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Falslev is the seventh Academic All-American in Utah State program history, and the first since Justin Bean in 2022.
Falslev is one of just 15 men’s basketball student-athletes across the country to earn Academic All-American honors this season and is the only selection from the Mountain West Conference.
Academically a senior, Falslev is majoring in finance and maintains a 3.65 GPA. He will graduate this spring, then begin his master’s in business administration at Utah State. He is a three-time MW Scholar-Athlete (2023, 2024, 2025) and a two-time academic all-MW selection (2024, 2025).
While helping lead the Aggies to a 29-7 season with both a Mountain West regular season and tournament title before a trip to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2025-26, Falslev was named the MW Player of the Year and was a member of the league’s all-defensive team. He led Utah State in rebounding with 5.7 boards per game, and ranked second on the team in points (16.0), assists (3.1) and steals (1.9).
During his three seasons at Utah State, Falslev has accumulated 1,469 points, 570 rebounds, 317 assists and 192 steals in 104 career games. He enters his senior campaign ranking 16th in program history in points, 12th in assists and third in steals.
