COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State’s Alli Mann has been tabbed the Mountain West Swimmer and Freshman of the Week, while Fresno State’s Natalia Bedolla was selected as the MW Diver of the Week.  

 

SWIMMER/FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK 

ALLI MANN, SAN DIEGO STATE 

Freshman, Orange County, Calif., Villa Park HS 

  • Helped the Aztecs win in a dual meet against University of San Diego. 
  • Placed first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.73, which ranks eighth in the Conference and broke  an Aztec Aquaplex pool record. 
  • Placed second in the 50-yard free with a personal-best time of 22.82. 
  • Placed first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.41. 
  • Swam a leg of the victorious 400-yard medley relay that turned in a time of 3:43.09, setting an Aztec Aquaplex pool record. 

 

DIVER OF THE WEEK 

NATALIA BEDOLLA, FRESNO STATE 

Junior, Gudalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, Bobaej Esmad 59 

  • Helped the Bulldogs win in a dual meet against UC Davis for the first time in program history. 
  • Registered personal-bests in both of her events. 
  • In the 1-meter springboard, recorded a score of 296.41, surpassing the NCAA Diving Zone standard. 
  • In the 3-meter springboard, logged a score of 314.25, surpassing the NCAA Diving Zone standard.
