COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mountain West announced on Tuesday athletes of the week for women’s swimming & diving. Washington State’s Emily Lundgren was named the MW Swimmer of the Week, UNLV’s Allyse Abbott earned MW Diver of the Week honors and Grand Canyon’s Sara Mose was tabbed as the MW Freshman of the Week.

MOUNTAIN WEST SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
EMILY LUNDGREN, WASHINGTON STATE
Senior, Chula Vista, California/Eastlake HS
• Helped lead the Cougars to a Mountain West dual victory over Colorado State with three individual victories and a relay win.
• Set a Gibb Pool record with a time of 2:00.07 in the 200-yard individual medley, which is also the top time in the Mountain West this year.
• Earned an NCAA qualification in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 59.54 and in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:10.09, winning both events.
• Her 100-yard breaststroke time is the second-fastest in the MW this year and 15th-best in the NCAA and her 200-yard breaststroke time is the third-best in the MW and 21st-fastest in the NCAA this season.
• Part of the 200-yard medley relay that posted a time of 1:37.74, which set a Gibb Pool record, and is the fastest time in the MW this year.

MOUNTAIN WEST DIVER OF THE WEEK
ALLYSE ABBOTT, UNLV
Sophomore, Gillette, Wyoming/Midland HS
• Helped lead UNLV to a dual victory over BYU.
• Won the 1-meter dive with a score of 276.45, surpassing the NCAA Zone qualifying standard.
• Her 1-meter dive was the top score in the Mountain West for the week.
• Finished second against BYU in the 3-meter dive with a score of 278.10, which was the third-highest score in the MW this week.

MOUNTAIN WEST FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
SARA MOSE, GRAND CANYON
Swimmer, Warsaw, Poland/Szkola w Chmurze HS
• Helped lead Grand Canyon to a one-point dual victory over New Mexico State.
• Won two individual events, the 50-yard freestyle (22.69) and the 100-yard freestyle (50.66), and was part of three winning relays, the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:32.22), 400-yard freestyle relay (3:26.61) and the 400-yard medley relay (3:42.48).
• Set a pool record in the 50-yard freestyle, with her time ranking third in the Mountain West.
• Her 100-yard freestyle time ranks as the seventh-fastest time in the Mountain West this season.
• This is the second time she’s earned MW Freshman of the Week honors.
