COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –Air Force senior Arjun Kersten has been named the Mountain West Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, while Nevada’s Max Contet has been tabbed the MW Men’s Tennis Freshman of the Week.
On the women’s side, Nevada’s Wiem Boubaker earned the MW Women’s Tennis Player of the Week nod, while Boise State’s Maya Dutta was tabbed the MW Women’s Tennis Freshman of the Week.
MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ARJUN KERSTEN, AIR FORCE

- Posted a 2-1 combined record in singles and doubles.
- Recorded a 2-0 record over UC Davis earning a point in both of his matches.
- Against UC Davis, logged a win in the No. 1 singles flight with a 6-2, 6-0 match result.
- Lone loss of the week was to No. 24 Daniel Sanchez of Denver.
- Recorded 6-3 doubles win Against UC Davis, in the first flight.
MEN’S TENNIS FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
MAX CONTET, NEVADA

- Recorded a record of 4-2 on the week, posting a 2-1 mark at No. 6 singles and 2-1 at No. 3 doubles.
- Against Hawai’i Pacific, logged a 6-1 doubles victory.
- Won the tiebreaker to cap a 5-7, 6-1 [10-7] win against Hawaii Pacific in singles debut, contributing to 7-0 win.
- Against Hawai’i, registered a 6-3, 6-4 victory to help the Wolf Pack win 4-3.
WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
WIEM BOUBAKER, NEVADA

- Posted a combined record of 4-0 in singles and doubles.
- Only lost six games across four sets in singles, winning 6-1, 6-3 against Hawai‘i and 6-0, 6-2 against Hawai‘i Pacific, both at No. 5.
- Competed at No. 3 doubles, logging a 6-1 and 6-4 wins.
WOMEN’S TENNIS FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
MAYA DUTTA, BOISE STATE

- Logged a 2-0 combined record on the week with one singles win and one doubles win against Weber State.
- Only registered five losses between both singles and doubles matches.
- Posted a straight sets win at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-3) and won 6-1 at No. 1 doubles against Weber State’s.
