FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Dec. 1, 2024) – For the second consecutive season, the Wyoming Cowgirls will be playing in the National Invitational Volleyball Championships (NIVC) as they were selected for the 29-team bracket announced Sunday night by Triple Crown Sports. Wyoming will host Idaho State in the first round on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. MT. Utah Valley and Washington State will be the other first-round match in Laramie with the winners of each match set to face on Friday at 6 p.m.. All games will be played in the UniWyo Sports Complex.

Wyoming went 15-12 in the regular season and will be making its fifth appearance in the tournament. The Cowgirls also played in the NIVC 2017-19. The first two rounds of the tournament will be held December 4-8 with four-team pods being played at a host school. The NIVC is a single-elimination tournament.

The Cowgirls boast a trio of All-Mountain West honorees from the 2024 regular season. Paige Lauterwasser and Kasia Partyka were named to the All-MW Team while Sarah Holcomb was an Honorable Mention all-league selection. Wyoming advanced to the Great 8 of last season’s tournament.
