COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – San Diego State junior forward Dori Savage has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, while Nevada sophomore goalkeeper Alyssa Szarlacki has been selected as the MW Defensive Player of the Week. SDSU newcomer Mia Lane was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.

 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DORI SAVAGE, SAN DIEGO STATE

Senior, Forward, Chula Vista, California/Mater Dei Catholic HS

  • Led San Diego State to a 4-1 victory at New Mexico.
  • Scored two goals for four points.
  • Totaled two shots on goal.

 

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ALYSSA SZARLACKI, NEVADA

Sophomore, Goalkeeper, San Jose, California/Pioneer HS

  • Helped Nevada to a 1-0 win over UNLV, clinching a spot in the MW championship.
  • Posted a shutout and tallied seven saves.

 

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

MIA LANE, SAN DIEGO STATE

Forward, Chula Vista, California/Eastlake HS

  • Guided San Diego State to a 4-1 victory at New Mexico.
  • Scored the game-winning goal for the Aztecs.
