COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Wyoming sophomore Paige Lauterwasser was named the MW Offensive Volleyball Player of the Week. Boise State stand-out rookie, Kiki Remensperger collected the MW Defensive Player and Freshman of the Week honors.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
PAIGE LAUTERWASSER, WYOMING
Sophomore, Outside, Naperville, Illinois/Naperville North HS
- Led the Cowgirls to a pair of four-set wins over Air Force and New Mexico.
- Averaged 4.13 kills per set, logged 33 total kills and a .338 hitting percentage, along with 37 total points for the Brown and Gold across the two matches.
- At Air Force, recorded 19 kills, two assists and a perfect service percentage.
- Against the Lobos, tallied 14 kills on a .355 hitting efficiency, two service aces and another perfect service stat line across 21 attempts. Also contributed 10 digs for the Cowgirls earning the sophomore a double-double.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER/FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
KIKI REMENSPERGER, BOISE STATE
Setter/Outside, San Diego, California/ Poway HS
- Assisted the Broncos to a 2-0 week with wins over San Diego State (3-2) and UNLV (3-1).
- Tallied 41 assists, 35 digs, 19 kills, six blocks and two service aces.
- Against the Aztecs, logged a double-double in the five-set victory with 27 assists and 21 digs. Also contributed eight kills, two blocks and two service aces.
- At UNLV, collected her second-career triple-double with 11 kills, 14 assists and 14 digs. The freshman also notched four blocks for her team.
