COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Utah State senior forward Bizzy Arevalo has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week. Boise State senior goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw has been selected as the MW Defensive Player of the Week, while teammate Jillian Anderson was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.

 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

BIZZY AREVALO, UTAH STATE

Senior, Forward, Logan, Utah/Davis HS

  • Led Utah State to an undefeated weekend with wins over Colorado College (6-0) and Air Force (4-0).
  • Recorded four goals for eight points in two starts. Also tallied five shots.
  • Scored two goals against the Tigers in 41 minutes of action.
  • Registered her second brace of the weekend against the Falcons, including the game-winning goal.

 

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

GENEVIEVE CRENSHAW, BOISE STATE

Senior, Goalkeeper, Cypress, California/Cypress HS

  • Helped Boise State to a perfect 2-0-0 record over the weekend with victories over Air Force (1-0) and Colorado College (2-0).
  • Recorded back-to-back shutouts in 180 minutes of action in goal.
  • Totaled nine saves, including seven saves against the Falcons.

 

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

JILLIAN ANDERSON, BOISE STATE

Midfielder, Allen, Texas/Allen HS

  • Guided Boise State to a pair of wins over Air Force (1-0) and Colorado College (2-0).
  • Recorded an assist for one point in two starts.
  • Assisted the game-winning goal against the Falcons.
  • Totaled six shots, including three shots on goal.
