COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State’s Addison Haluska was selected as the Mountain West Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week. Wyoming’s Sierra Grizzle was tabbed the MW Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, while Boise State’s Kiki Remensperger was named the MW Volleyball Freshman of the Week.

 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ADDISON HALUSKA, FRESNO STATE

Junior, Opposite, Gilbert, Arizona/Campo Verde HS

  • Led the Bulldogs to a 2-0 week with wins over UNLV,3-1, and San Diego State, 3-2.
  • Recorded a total of 54 kills on a .293 hitting percentage, an average of six kills per set and 6.78 points per set.
  • Against the Rebels, logged a then career-high 25 kills on a .339 attack percentage and a pair of service aces.
  • Against the Aztecs, registered a career-high 29 kill with a .256 hitting percentage and an additional pair of services aces for the Bulldogs.

 

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

SIERRA GRIZZLE, WYOMING

Sophomore, Libero, Boise, Idaho/Mountain View HS

  • Assisted the Cowgirls to a 1-1 week with a win over Boise State, 3-2, and a loss at Colorado State, 3-1.
  • Averaged 6.11 digs per set and posted a .974 reception percentage on 39 attempts.
  • At Colorado State, collected 20 digs.
  • Against the Broncos, racked up a career-high 35 digs and a perfect reception mark on 19 attempts.

 

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

KIKI REMENSPERGER, BOISE STATE

Setter/Outside, San Diego, California/Poway HS

  • Helped the Broncos to a 1-1 record last week with a win over Colorado State, 3-2, and a loss to Wyoming, 3-2.
  • Splitting time between setter and outside hitter, averaged 1.6 kills per set, 5.7 assists per set and 4.20 digs per set. Also logged a double-double and a triple-double.
  • At Colorado State, tallied four kills, two service aces, one block assist and a double-double with 31 assists and 16 digs.
  • At Wyoming, logged her first career triple-double with 12 kills, 26 assists and 26 digs. Also contributed one service ace and two block assists.
  • The freshman’s triple-double marks the first by a Bronco since November of 2011.
