COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Wyoming senior forward Alyssa Bedard has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week. New Mexico sophomore goalkeeper Callie Droitsch has been selected as the MW Defensive Player of the Week and teammate Ashley Moody was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ALYSSA BEDARD, WYOMING

Senior, Forward, Rock Springs, Wyoming/Rock Springs HS

  • Led Wyoming to a 1-1-0 week with a win over No. 11 Utah State (2-0) and a loss to Boise State (2-1).
  • Registered a goal and an assist for three points in two starts.
  • Scored the game-winning goal against No. 11 Utah State.
  • Recorded an assist against the Broncos.
  • Totaled five shots over the weekend, including three shots on goal.

 

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CALLIE DROITSCH, NEW MEXICO

Sophomore, Goalkeeper, Holladay, Utah/Olympus HS

  • Helped New Mexico to a 1-0-1 week with a win at Air Force (2-1) and a scoreless draw at Colorado College.
  • Started two matches, allowing just one goal in 180 minutes of action.
  • Totaled 10 saves on the weekend.

 

 

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

ASHLEY MOODY, NEW MEXICO

Defender, Castle Rock, Colorado/Castle View HS

  • Guided New Mexico to a 1-0-1 week with a win at Air Force (2-1) and a scoreless draw at Colorado College.
  • Started both matches and saw 180 minutes of action on the pitch.
  • Held the Tigers scoreless and limited the Falcons to just one goal.
