LOGAN, Utah – After a 2-0 week which included a 5-1 win over defending Mountain West champs San Diego State and a 1-0 win over New Mexico, Utah State soccer moved up a spot to No. 12 in this week’s United Soccer Coaches Poll.
Utah State received 118 points in the poll, up from last week’s 106 points. USU is one of just three undefeated teams remaining in the country, along with No. 5 Michigan State (9-0-4) and No. 9 Iowa (9-0-3), and currently leads the nation with a .929 winning percentage. This is the seventh-straight week ranked in the top 25 for USU.
Additionally, the Aggies check in at No. 13 in the NCAA women’s soccer RPI rankings, up three spots from last week. USU is one of three Mountain West teams in the top-100 of the RPI, along with Boise State (70) and Colorado State (90).
Utah State (12-0-2, 3-0-1 MW) will continue Mountain West play this week with a pair of road matches, first facing Wyoming on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m., then playing at Colorado State on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m.
