COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Washington State’s Darcy Revitt was tabbed the Mountain West Swimmer and Freshman of the Week, while San Diego State’s Valentina Lopez Arevalo was named the MW Diver of the Week.  

 

SWIMMER/FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK 

DARCY REVITT, WASHINGTON STATE 

Freshman, Guildford, England 

  • Helped the Cougars place fourth at the Fresno State Invite. 
  • Won both the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.98 and the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.37, with both times leading the Mountain West. 
  • Swam a leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay that placed second. Her time of 22.94 is the school’s seventh-fastest in an opening leg. 
  • Also swam legs of the 400-yard freestyle and 400-yard medley relays that placed first and second, respectively. 

 

DIVER OF THE WEEK 

VALENTINA LOPEZ AREVALO, SAN DIEGO STATE 

Junior, Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico/Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Jalisco 

  • Helped the Aztecs finish second at the Fresno State Invite. 
  • In the 1-meter springboard, registered a score of 263.10, placing first, two points shy of the NCAA Diving Zone standard. 
  • In the 3-meter springboard, logged a first-place score of 306.65, surpassing the NCAA Diving Zone standard.
